Musings on the root of civilisation and some links

We read in history that root of civilisation is various river valley civilisations:

Egypt Nile,
Rome tibre,
Indus valley, ( saraswati or Indus)

Just read somewhere that in Mesapotamia , on the banks of tigris (i am not sure if i am corrected) , they found the oldest hominid tooth.

So is that the root of all life ? just wondering.
